Broad summary of policy

As a purely informational website, I do not require or acquire any personal information from you with the following commonplace exceptions:

I use various third-party services to ensure the website functions correctly. Some of those services may involve your personal info (for example, when you volunteer an email address in order to comment on one of my articles). Please check the policy above for full details. Some highlights/additions:

  • Any information you submit during the commenting process that is not for public display (like your email address) will be treated confidentially, stored in a secure environment, and retained until such time as you request it deleted
  • If you send me an email, I will retain your communication until such time as you ask me to delete it
