Not sure if it needs a whole blog post to say it, but Cake and Courtship is now also available in paperback. This is what it looks like (sherry, cake and orchid not included):
I’ll be taking the book and Mr Bennet out on a tour of the book blogs in a week or two, so look out for that announcement.
Paperbacks are now my format of choice at home, after a brief ebook-only period. Perhaps, with age, I begin to yearn for simplicity and that special feeling you get when turning the pages of a “real” book.
Having said that, the Kindle is still one of my best friends. It’s irreplaceable for long trips where a pile of books will shatter the luggage allowance limit. It’s great when you need a book NOW. Most importantly, it keeps the household book budget under control. Just yesterday, I bought a novel for the Kindle because the paper format was almost four times the price. I’ll happily pay more for the paperback, but not stupid amounts.
Happy reading.
